Merchantek EO GeoLase model MIR10-TP Laser Ablation System used for Spectrometry/Spectrometric Analysis
- LA-ICP-MS analysis -- unit consists of a 10watt CO2 laser mounted on a heavy frame with long focusing tube, LN2 cooled Detector Unit, and 3-dimensional stage for clamping the vacuum chamber: stage is both hand and computer controlled --  also includes a Moritex MHF-D100LR fiber-optic lamp with dual heads to light the stage, a Power One DC power supply and the computer cable -- missing is the Merchantek Laser Controller so we are unable to test this machine -- this was used to blast mineral test samples for a MAP215-50 Mass Spectrometer used for Argon Geochronology research at the local university [last picture shows this system as it was used there] -- Merchantek is now New Wave Research --
